Written for marimbist Michael Burritt, this virtuosic three-movement work is a first-rate piece of music. The solo marimba part is extremely virtuosic and challenging. The electronics weave in and out of the solo and ensemble texture, sometimes providing a nice sustained, choral backdrop, sometimes providing an in-your-face back beat (as in Rokit!).
